From Times Staff Reports

Concerned that the Department of Water and Power has delayed the adoption of a policy that would open more of its facilities to location filming, the head of a City Council committee said Monday that he would attend a DWP board meeting to call for swift action.

Councilman Martin Ludlow said at a hearing that the lack of a clear policy, and the existing tough restrictions that keep film crews off DWP property, are inconsistent with the city’s efforts to encourage movie companies to work in Los Angeles.
