Receiver Craig Bragg will be sidelined for at least two games after suffering a dislocated shoulder against Washington on Saturday.

“It will probably be three to four weeks before he’ll be ready to play again, but he might heal sooner than that,” Coach Karl Dorrell said. The Bruins are off this week and do not play again until Oct. 2 when they face San Diego State at the Rose Bowl.

Bragg, a senior, caught five passes for 57 yards against the Huskies to move into the No. 2 spot on UCLA’s career list for receiving yardage with 2,579 yards. With 169 catches, Bragg also is No. 2 on the career reception list.

Senior Tab Perry, who has caught two passes for 10 yards in three games, will replace Bragg in the lineup. Although Perry has yet to make an impact this season, Dorrell said he has been strong in other areas.

“Tab had an excellent football game [on Saturday] even though he didn’t have any catches,” he said. “On [Maurice Drew’s] first TD run, he had two key blocks. He blocked the safety and knocked him [down]. Then he went on to block the weakside corner.”

Junior Taylor, who had four catches for 41 yards, also played well. Three of his catches resulted in first downs.

Drew’s 322 yards rushing and five touchdowns in 26 carries against Washington may have been the best day for a UCLA running back -- but it’s not a personal best.

As a senior at Concord De La Salle High, Drew said he rushed for 300 yards and five touchdowns in 11 carries against Antioch High.

Drew said former UCLA standout DeShaun Foster, who held the previous school mark of 301 yards -- set against Washington in 2001 -- left him a message through a few teammates.

“He told them that he was going to beat me up,” Drew said with a laugh. “We’ll see ... because he’s pretty big. We’ll see what goes on when he comes around.”
