Mother Hurt, Daughter Left Critical in Crash

A mother and her 4-year-old daughter were hospitalized Tuesday after a Ford truck rear-ended their car, according to police.
The victims, whose names were not released, were taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo.
The girl was in critical condition with head injuries.
The mother’s condition was not available.
The accident, near Pacific Parkway and Wood Canyon Road, occurred about 11:10 a.m. The truck driver was reportedly not injured.
