* Kelli Tennant, Temecula Chaparral: USC-bound senior had 19 kills in upset of the nation’s No. 7 team, Santa Ana Mater Dei, 16-25, 25-22, 25-22, 16-25, 17-15.

BOYS’ WATER POLO

* Anthony Artukovich, Long Beach Wilson: Battling injuries all season, came off the bench and scored his only goal in the final minute to give the Bruins -- ranked No. 1 in Division I -- an 8-7 victory over No. 5 Corona del Mar.

* David Johnson, Mission Viejo: Scored twice, once in overtime, in 3-2 upset of Irvine Northwood, the No. 8 team in Division I.

* T.J. Fuentes, Lake Forest El Toro: In a battle of teams ranked third in their divisions, Fuentes scored the last of his four goals with 22 seconds remaining to give Division I Chargers a 13-12 victory over Division III La Canada.
