Too Beat for the Beat
Re “Parks Calls for End to 3/12 Police Schedule,” Sept. 14: You don’t have to be a genius to realize that LAPD officers cannot be at their peak of efficiency for 12 hours a day. Chances are very few people can, no matter what the work. Cheers to [mayoral candidate and] L.A. Councilman Bernard Parks for his recommendation for discontinuing this outrageous program.
