The body of former rebel leader John Garang was flown from town to town in southern Sudan for people to pay last respects before his burial.

Garang died in a helicopter crash Saturday.

The Sudanese government and the rebel movement say the crash was an accident.

But more than 130 people were killed this week in riots in Khartoum, Juba and Malakal, said the Sudanese Red Crescent.
