Guest star: Oscar winner Charlize Theron will guest star in five episodes of Fox’s “Arrested Development,” beginning Sept. 26.
New gig: Carl St.Clair, music director of the Pacific Symphony since 1990, joins the USC faculty this semester as principal conductor of the Thornton Symphony. His first concert, Sept. 15 in Bovard Auditorium, will feature Strauss’ “Ein Heldenleben.” He will remain head of the Pacific Symphony.
