‘Martha’ is renewed for 2nd season
The second season of Martha Stewart’s syndicated daytime program, “Martha,” has been sold to stations in more than 90% of the country, NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution announced Monday.
In its first year, the domestic doyenne’s show, produced by Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, found distribution in 98% of the country. “Martha” was the top-rated new daytime show during the November sweeps, according to Nielsen Media Research.
So far this season, 17 of the top 20 stations airing the program have seen a boost in viewership in the time period from the previous year.
The hourlong show, taped in front of a studio audience, is sprinkled with how-to tips from Stewart, as well as interviews with celebrity guests and lifestyle features.
