Bank Robber Gets Cash, but Doesn’t Get Away
Police arrested a man who allegedly robbed an Anaheim bank Saturday and tried escaping in a taxicab.
The robber presented a note demanding cash to a clerk at a Bank of America branch on Katella Avenue about 1:30 p.m. and left the bank, near Angel Stadium, with an undisclosed amount of money.
Security guards detained the robber, who did not have a weapon, until police arrived, said Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez, a department spokesman. The stolen money was recovered.
Derrick Aylor, 21, was held at the Anaheim City Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail, Martinez said.
