3 Homes Get Red Tags; Road Closed
From a Times Staff Writer
Fearing more mudslides, authorities red-tagged three homes Sunday and closed off Laurel Canyon Boulevard through the Hollywood Hills, between Hollywood Boulevard and Mulholland Drive. The precautions were taken because last week’s rains weakened the ground, said a Fire Department spokeswoman.
The popular commuter route was shut down to all traffic between Mount Olympus Drive and Gould Avenue and only residents were allowed onto other closed parts of the road. It was unclear how long the closure would last.
