6 Men Arrested in Alleged Hostage-Taking
From Times Staff Reports
Six men were arrested early Sunday after they held two women hostage in a Fountain Valley house, police said.
A woman called police just after midnight to report a man in her yard, said Sgt. Kevin Thomas. When officers arrived, the woman fled out the front door and told them her friend had been bound and gagged by men wearing ski masks and gloves, Thomas said.
The other woman was released within 20 minutes. Five suspects surrendered about 2 a.m. and were arrested along with the alleged getaway driver.
