2 Teen Boys Rescued After Falling Down Cliff
From Times Staff Reports
Two teenage boys who fell 100 feet down a cliff above the ocean in Dana Point were rescued Sunday afternoon, fire officials said.
The boys were stranded 200 feet above the water when an Orange County sheriff’s helicopter spotted them about 3 p.m., said Battalion Chief Ed Fleming. Firefighters rappelled down the cliff to them.
One boy was flown to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo with moderate internal injuries; the other teen was not injured, Fleming said.
