Bus-Truck Crash Leaves 4 Dead, Others Injured
From Times Wire Reports
Three people on a bus carrying a Canadian women’s hockey team and a truck driver were killed when the athletes’ bus slammed into a tractor-trailer that had pulled off the road, police and hospital officials said.
The crash, which occurred about 30 miles south of Rochester, split the bus in two, state police said.
The truck’s driver, who had stopped and stepped out of his rig to allow his dog to relieve itself, was killed instantly.
Four others on the bus, which carried more than two dozen passengers, were in critical condition.
