An offer to refuse
A pox on the producers of “Cinderella Man” (and the AMC theater chain) for their belated attempt to lure patrons to their mediocre film by offering a “money-back-if-you-don’t like-it guarantee” [Quick Takes, June 30]. It’s tantamount to begging, and Ron Howard et al should be embarrassed.
So they made a movie that people didn’t want to see. Happens all the time, guys. It’s not the end of the world.
I only wish every film would come with the same guarantee.
