4.2-Magnitude Quake Strikes off the Coast

A medium-size earthquake struck off the coast of Ventura County early Sunday. No damage or injuries were reported, authorities said.
The 4.2-magnitude temblor hit at 5:59 a.m. 28 miles southeast of Santa Rosa Island and 51 miles southwest of Oxnard, according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey.
