Man Gets Five Years for Credit-Card Scam

A San Pedro man who used proceeds from a credit card scam to pay his way through Loyola Law School and buy a Porsche sports car was sentenced Monday to five years in federal prison.
Christian Ehlers, 29, also was ordered to pay $1.1 million restitution to six financial institutions.
Mark Sandoro, 43, who admitted to being Ehlers’ accomplice, received a five-year term.
A third defendant, Alex Mascola, 30, who pleaded guilty before trial, was placed on probation.
