Power Generators Want Ballot Initiative Killed
An association of independent power generators asked a California appeals court to remove an electricity regulation initiative from November’s special election ballot.
The petition claims that the measure, sponsored by the Utility Reform Network, a ratepayers advocacy group known as TURN, is illegal partly because it would impinge on the California Public Utilities Commission’s constitutional powers.
TURN said it was studying the issue.
