MTA Train Hits Car Parked on the Tracks
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
An MTA Gold Line train hit a car that was parked across its tracks at Avenue 55 and Marmion Way on Friday.
No one was hurt in the incident at 1:34 p.m. along a part of the Gold Line route that has no safety gates to keep cars off the tracks, said MTA spokesman Rick Jager.
The Gold Line was closed for more than an hour, and passengers were taken to their destinations by bus, Jager said.
