Police Shoot Suspect During Gun Battle
Police shot and killed a man in Jefferson Park on Wednesday night and searched the neighborhood for two other suspects who fled after an exchange of gunfire, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The incident occurred about 7:15 p.m. in the 3800 block of Cimarron Street as LAPD officers were serving a search warrant at a home.
As the officers approached, gunmen inside the house fired on them.
Officers fired back, killing one of the men, and the other two fled, Officer Jason Lee said. The suspects had not been found by late evening. It was unknown what the warrant involved.
