Marriott Guest Is Arrested in Hotel Fires
A man suspected of starting several fires at the Anaheim Marriott on Sunday night was arrested early Monday, a fire official said.
The first fire was reported about 10:15 p.m., said Maria Sabol, a spokeswoman for the Anaheim Fire Department. After firefighters doused the flames and the nearly 3,000 guests were allowed back to their rooms, another fire started, she said.
Jeffrey B. Wilson was booked on suspicion of arson and is being held at the Anaheim Detention Center, Sabol said. His bail was set at $250,000.
Citing the investigation, Sabol would not release how many fires he is suspected to have started.
Wilson, 42 of Colorado, was a guest at the hotel. None of the fires were in his room, she said.
