KINGS TONIGHT
at Dallas, 5:30 PDT, FSN West
Site -- American Airlines Center.
Radio -- 1260.
Records (2003-04) -- Kings 28-29-16-9; Stars 41-26-13-2.
Record vs. Stars (2003-04) -- 2-2-2-0
Update -- Forward Valeri Bure, out with a strained back according to the Kings, was put on injured reserve and will miss at least the first two games. Defenseman Mattias Norstrom (strained hamstring) was also put on injured reserve, but it was retroactive to Sept. 27 and he would be eligible to play tonight. However, Norstrom did not fly with the team to Dallas, as he was ill, and it was not known whether he would fly in today for the game. The Kings have lost 11 consecutive regular-season games, dating to the end of the 2003-04 season. Dallas has been one of the top teams in the Western Conference for a decade and it appears to have the talent to remain formidable, provided Mike Modano holds off age, defenseman Sergei Zubov adjusts to new rules and Marty Turco remains one of the NHL’s top goaltenders.
