FCC Adopts Rules to Curb Unwanted Faxes
From Bloomberg News
The Federal Communications Commission adopted rules aimed at curbing unwanted faxes by letting recipients block them, implementing a law passed in July.
The rules require senders of advertisements to obtain fax numbers directly from recipients or make sure that the recipients have agreed to make their numbers available for public distribution.
The rules also require fax senders to tell recipients how to stop future advertisements.
