Producer Files Claim Involving Pellicano Case
Legal fallout from the Anthony Pellicano case continued Thursday when a Hollywood producer and former Nevada gubernatorial candidate filed a claim against Beverly Hills, alleging one of its former police officers misused his private information.
The civil claim by Aaron Russo -- joined separately by three family members -- alleges that Craig Stevens, while a Beverly Hills police officer, caused him severe emotional distress by illegally accessing information in the National Crime Information Center and other confidential databases.
Stevens has pleaded guilty to illegally accessing government computers for information he sold to Pellicano, a private eye, and to lying about it to the FBI.
