Family day: Registration closes today for Family Day Out, sponsored by the Costa Mesa recreation division. Participants will meet at the Balearic Community Center on Jan. 14 for a day at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. $5 per person. (714) 754-5158.
Flu vaccines: Seal Beach offers two free flu vaccine clinics for seniors and those with chronic disorders. A free balance-and- fall-prevention screening will also be offered.
