Hughes Has Finger Surgery
Cleveland Cavalier guard Larry Hughes underwent surgery Friday to repair a broken right middle finger. He is expected to be sidelined eight weeks. Hughes, 26, is the team’s second-leading scorer, averaging 16.2 points. He started the first 28 games this season before sitting out Wednesday night at Milwaukee.

Referee Jim Clark sat out part of the third quarter of the Orlando-New Jersey game at East Rutherford, N.J., after he was kicked in the head by a tumbling performer right before the second half was set to begin. Clark was waiting for the teams to go on the court when an acrobatic performer doing back flips inadvertently kicked him, knocking him to the floor.
