Toyota Doubles Previous Sales Growth Forecast

Toyota Motor Corp., which had the largest sales gain among major automakers in the U.S. in 2005, said it expected an increase this year of as much as 10%, doubling a forecast it made last week.
Toyota, which trails only General Motors Corp. in global auto sales, in 2005 sold a record 2.26 million cars and trucks in the U.S., up 9.7% from a year earlier.
