Returning: “The Boondocks,” the animated adaptation of the newspaper comic about two young black boys living in the suburbs, has been renewed for a second season on the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim late-night slate.

Commenting: William J. Bennett, who served as U.S. secretary of Education under President Reagan and has written 16 books, has been hired as a political and cultural commentator at CNN. He’ll appear on a variety of programs.
