Civilian Staffers Pulled for Their Safety

The United Nations has pulled nearly 400 civilian staffers out of Ivory Coast, fearing unrest when the Security Council slaps sanctions on people blocking the peace process, U.N. officials said.
The temporary evacuation leaves 800 U.N. civilians in the country, along with about 11,000 U.N. and French peacekeepers, said Pierre Schori, U.N. special envoy for Ivory Coast.
