GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
* Layshia Clarendon and Darshae Burnside, San Bernardino Cajon: The two freshmen led the Cowboys (21-1, 6-0) to their 34th consecutive league win, a 58-34 San Andreas League victory at San Bernardino Arroyo Valley. Clarendon finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, and Burnside had 11 points and 19 rebounds.
BOYS’ SOCCER
* Kyle Russell, Temecula Valley: Scored a hat trick as the Golden Bears (15-2-4, 3-0-3), ranked No. 4 in Division II, defeated visiting Temecula Chaparral (13-4-5, 2-2-2), ranked No. 7, in a Southwestern League contest.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
* Tanya Taylor, Fullerton Sunny Hills: Had a career-best four goals, bringing her season total to 18, and two assists as the Lancers (17-2-4, 5-0-1), ranked No. 2 in Division III, defeated visiting La Habra (10-7-2, 2-2-2), 9-0, in a Freeway League game.
