Off the rails, again
Re “Gov. Calls for Big Investment in L.A. Rail System,” Jan. 21
Although the headline implies a change in the decades-old mind-set of building more freeways to solve our transportation needs, the article tells us that only 4.5% of the funding would go to urban mass transit. Of that amount, much would go to buses. This is the type of thinking that got us into this mess in the first place. Tell me why Los Angeles County spends so little of the available transit dollars on rail?
