North Carolina Routs Wake Forest
The No. 3 North Carolina women forced 29 turnovers en route to a 91-57 victory over Wake Forest on Friday at Winston-Salem, N.C.
The Tar Heels, off to their best start, rose to 19-0 overall and 4-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Demon Deacons (10-8, 2-4) shot 39.1%.
St. Joseph’s 65, No. 17 Temple 64 -- Hillary Klimowicz made a layup with 3.2 seconds left to lift the Hawks (13-6, 5-3 Atlantic 10) over the Owls (14-5, 5-2), who had trailed by 12, at Philadelphia.

Virginia Tech suspended forward Deron Washington for one game, one day after he appeared to drive his foot into the face of a Duke player while both were lying on the floor.... Nebraska guard Joe McCray has been suspended indefinitely for violating undisclosed team rules.... Utah forward Bryant Markson, who was suspended for one game Jan. 20 for a campus parking-related violation, has been charged with theft of services, a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail.
