Fire, Slurs Deface Jewish Temple

Vandals started a small fire Friday and painted racial slurs on the sanctuary of a Jewish temple in Tarzana, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Authorities said an automatic fire alarm went off at 8:04 a.m. at Temple Beth David at 18648 Clark St. Police and firefighters found an open door, slight fire damage and the slurs.
Police are investigating the incident as vandalism and a hate crime.
