Two Hurt As Helicopter Crash Lands in Park
From Times Staff Reports
A helicopter crash landed in Chino Hills State Park about 9 a.m. Wednesday, causing the pilot and a radio traffic reporter minor injuries, authorities said. The “hard landing” occurred about half a mile north of the San Bernardino County line, near the 91 and 71 freeways, said Cindy Beavers, spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The occupants, both of Van Nuys, were taken by a second helicopter to Northridge Hospital Medical Center. Officials are investigating the cause of the crash.
