The commissioner’s office also suspended San Diego Padres catcher Josh Bard one game for his actions during a game against Seattle on Sunday. Both were fined an undisclosed amount.

Garner and Astros slugger Lance Berkman were ejected after a close play at first base Monday night. Garner rushed onto the field and was ejected after throwing his cap to the ground after a long argument. When he returned to the bench, he threw a chair out of the dugout.
