Hollins Is Selected by Charlotte
Ryan Hollins, UCLA’s 7-0 1/2 , 230-pound senior center, was taken by the Charlotte Bobcats in the second round of Wednesday’s NBA draft, the 50th selection overall.
Hollins finished his career at Westwood with a peak performance in the second half of last season after returning from a groin injury. He was named most valuable player of the Oakland Regional tournament and was part of UCLA’s run to the NCAA championship game where the Bruins lost to Florida.
And his future?
“How can you not be successful with Michael Jordan looking over your shoulder?” said Hollins, referring to the Bobcats’ new part-owner.
