Chavez Withdraws Ambassador to Peru

President Hugo Chavez has withdrawn Venezuela’s ambassador to Peru after Lima recalled its envoy to Caracas.
Chavez made his announcement after Peruvian President Alejandro Toledo appealed to the Organization of American States to prevent Chavez from interfering in Peru’s election.
Chavez had branded Peruvian candidate Alan Garcia a thief and threatened to break ties if he won Peru’s presidency. Garcia called Chavez shameless for criticizing U.S. trade deals with Peru and Colombia.
