COMING ATTRACTIONS
Larry Brown to Charlotte. You read it here first. OK, would you believe the top 1,000?
Nothing has actually happened but it looks so obvious, it’s like a light bulb going off above everyone’s heads at the same time.
Michael Jordan, the new Charlotte co-owner, didn’t hire Coach Bernie Bickerstaff, who was on thin ice before Mike arrived.
The city is oblivious to the struggling young team after years of callous ownership by the Bobcats and Hornets and would welcome Brown, who’s also Tar Heel royalty. Brown needs to work. He has left 12 teams and has never sat out a season.
Brown accepted an $18 million settlement for the $40 million he was owed. If that was low, arbitrator David Stern knew he had just gotten a $7 million settlement from Detroit, was probably aware it wouldn’t be long before Brown was working again and may have had a good idea where.
