New musical by Harold Prince set
Harold Prince has directed some of Broadway’s biggest musical hits including “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Cabaret,” “Sweeney Todd” and “Evita.” Now he is returning with “LoveMusik,” a look at the life of composer Kurt Weill and the woman who became his leading lady and wife, Lotte Lenya.
The Manhattan Theatre Club production opens May 3 at the Biltmore Theatre with preview performances beginning April 12. It will star Michael Cerveris and Donna Murphy.
“LoveMusik” will have a book by Alfred Uhry, the author of “Driving Miss Daisy” and “The Last Night of Ballyhoo.”
