Military plane crash kills 38

An Iranian military aircraft crashed at Tehran’s airport today, killing all 38 people on board, state-run television reported.
It said the Antonov-74 belonged to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and had been headed to Shiraz, south of the capital. The report identified the dead as 35 guards and three crew members. “A few minutes ago an Antonov-74 plane that belonged to the Revolutionary Guard crashed after taking off from Mehrabad Airport,” the television report said.
