Michael Jackson to receive award
From the Associated Press
Michael Jackson will make a rare public appearance at the World Music Awards in London on Nov. 15 to receive an award, organizers say.
Jackson has made few appearances since being acquitted of child molestation charges in June 2005. He left the United States soon after and has spent time in Bahrain and Ireland.
The singer will be presented with the Diamond Award, given to artists who sell more than 100 million albums. Previous winners include Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion.
