A rare kindness

Re “He died in vast isolation,” Column One, March 31

After reading this story, I was struck more by the extraordinary kindness and selfless giving of Adriana Molina than the plight of the blind old man. It truly is heartwarming to know there are people like her living in this world, where most are intent on their own fortune and best interest, even to the detriment of others. We can all take a lesson from this wonderful lady.
