Aid workers, staff are missing

Two French aid workers and their three Afghan staffers are missing in southwestern Afghanistan, officials said.
The French man and woman work with the group Terre d’Enfance, which is involved with children’s education projects in Afghanistan.
A purported spokesman for the Taliban claimed in a phone call that the militia had kidnapped the five, but the statement could not be verified.
