Disney, Time Warner reach cable agreement

Walt Disney Co. will let Time Warner Cable Inc. offer Disney channels such as ESPN and ABC Family in high definition as part of a broader agreement that ends three years of negotiating.
Burbank-based Disney also will let Time Warner Cable add shows to its on-demand and digital recording services, which will help Stamford, Conn.-based Time Warner generate more revenue. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
