In search of hidden treasure
CBS will air “Pirate Master,” a competition series from the producer of “Survivor” and “The Apprentice,” and the stop-action animated series “Creature Comforts” this summer, the network announced Wednesday.
“Pirate Master” will have contestants live aboard a 179-foot ship sailing around the Caribbean island of Dominica in search of hidden treasure totaling $1 million. In classic competition series tradition, one contestant will be eliminated each week.
The series is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. Thursdays beginning May 31.
“Creature Comforts,” based on a British series, takes interviews from hundreds of ordinary Americans and puts their words in the mouths of various animals. It will air at 8 p.m. Mondays beginning June 4.
