* at Philadelphia 6, Florida 1: Jamie Moyer (3-1) took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and combined with two relievers for a four-hitter. Moyer had faced the minimum 20 batters when Miguel Cabrera broke up the no-hitter with a two-out double in the seventh inning. The 44-year-old left-hander mixed up a fastball that topped out at 82 mph with an array of cutters, changeups and curveballs.

* New York 1, at Washington 0: John Maine (4-0) got a career-high eight strikeouts and gave up three hits in seven innings, and Carlos Beltran homered for one of the Mets’ three hits. Beltran’s fifth homer came against Jason Bergmann (0-2) with one out in the sixth inning.

* Milwaukee 3, at Houston 1: Geoff Jenkins homered, Claudio Vargas (2-0) pitched out of bases-loaded jams in three consecutive innings and the Brewers won a three-game series in Houston for the first time since 1997, when the Astros played in the Astrodome.

* Cincinnati 9, at Pittsburgh 5: Edwin Encarnacion’s bases-loaded triple keyed the Reds’ rally from an early three-run deficit and Aaron Harang (4-0) settled down to maintain his dominance of the Pirates, whom he has defeated 10 times in 13 decisions.

* at Arizona 5, San Francisco 4: Orlando Hudson hit a tiebreaking two-run double in the seventh inning at Phoenix and the Diamondbacks got their fifth consecutive victory. Randy Johnson, making his second start since October back surgery, gave up two earned runs and seven hits in six innings for the Diamondbacks.

* at Colorado 9, Atlanta 7 (11 innings): The Rockies’ Matt Holliday, who had been hitless before a run-scoring infield single in the ninth, hit a two-run homer in the 11th to win it.

* Chicago at St. Louis, ppd.: The game was postponed because of the death of Cardinals pitcher Josh Hancock. No makeup date has been announced.

* Dodgers 5, at San Diego 4 (17 innings): Brady Clark hit a go-ahead double in the 17th inning in the longest game in Petco Park’s four-year history. It also was the longest game in the major leagues this season.
