Iraqi cleric’s family: An article in some editions of Tuesday’s Section A about Iraqis protesting the appointment of a provincial police chief said that the new official’s term as an intelligence official in the city of Najaf under Saddam Hussein’s regime had coincided with the 1980 execution of cleric Muqtada Sadr’s uncle, Mohammed Baqir Sadr. It coincided with the 1999 slaying of Muqtada Sadr’s father, Mohammed Sadeq Sadr.
