Re “Back from despair, in her words,” Column One, Feb. 23

Thank you for the powerful and touching story on Ryan Kules, the double amputee from the war in Iraq, and his wife, Nancy. This is the exact story I want to see on the front page of The Times to show how utterly destructive this ridiculous war is and how a day in the war can drastically change a life, not for the better. This article makes me angry and want to take further action to get the U.S. out of Iraq. The sooner, the better.
