Zetterberg keeps streak going for Red Wings

Henrik Zetterberg had two goals and an assist, and Pavel Datsyuk contributed four assists to lift host Detroit over Nashville, 5-3, Wednesday night.

It was the fifth consecutive victory for the Red Wings, who ended the Predators’ winning streak at six games.

Datsyuk has 14 points -- two goals and 12 assists -- in his last five games, Zetterberg has three goals and nine assists and has scored at least a point in six games in a row, and Holmstrom has nine goals in his last 10 games.

Dallas 4, Calgary 2 -- All-Star goalie Marty Turco matched a franchise record with his 160th victory, stopping 18 shots and assisting on a goal at Dallas.

Turco has spent his six NHL seasons in Dallas. He began as a backup for two seasons to Ed Belfour, who won 160 games from 1997 to 2002 and helped the Stars win the Stanley Cup.

Joel Lundqvist’s first career goal ended a 1-1 tie with 13 1/2 minutes left in the second period. About two minutes later, Turco assisted on Stu Barnes’ goal that gave Dallas a 3-1 lead.

Buffalo 6, Boston 3 -- Brian Campbell and Maxim Afinogenov scored four minutes apart in the third period to hand the Bruins their fifth consecutive loss on the road.

Bruins rookie Phil Kessel had his first two-goal game, in only his fifth game back since having surgery for testicular cancer.

Daniel Paille scored twice, including an empty-netter in the final minute, to help the Sabres end a season-worst three-game winless streak.

Colorado 4, Phoenix 3 -- Paul Stastny scored two goals at Denver to help the Avalanche beat the Coyotes for the seventh consecutive time.

The Coyotes’ road winning streak ended at six games, two short of the franchise record set in 1985, when the team was the Winnipeg Jets.

Peter Budaj, now 4-0 against Phoenix, made 26 saves.
