TV airs video of ailing Castro
From Times Wire Reports
Cuban state television showed a healthier-looking Fidel Castro speaking with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. It was the first video of the ailing leader shown in three months.
The report said the 10-minute clip was taped Monday during a two-hour private meeting in Havana.
“It’s not a lost battle,” Castro said of his health problems.
In the video, Chavez could be heard saying that the visit began at 3 p.m. Jan. 29. Castro read aloud a headline of an article dated Saturday from the Argentine newspaper Clarin.
