* at Chicago 10, Atlanta 1: Mark DeRosa hit a grand slam, Alfonso Soriano and Derrek Lee hit solo homers, and the Cubs closed out a tumultuous weekend by ending a six-game losing streak.

* at Milwaukee 3, Florida 0: Ben Sheets pitched six shutout innings, and the Brewers won their first series in nearly a month.

* Arizona 4, at New York 1: Doug Davis gave up a run and six hits in 7 2/3 innings, and the Diamondbacks won for the ninth time in 10 games. The Diamondbacks concluded a successful six-game trip, winning five of six. The Mets lost a home series for the first time since April 15-17 against Atlanta.

* at Philadelphia 9, San Francisco 8: Ryan Howard’s three-run shot helped the Phillies prevail.

* Dodgers 5, at Pittsburgh 4: Andre Ethier’s two-run homer in the eighth against Salomon Torres finished a five-run comeback in the late innings.
